Obituary

Today we gather together to honor the life of Eileen Denise Bankhead. She graced us with her presence for 65 beautiful years. She was born on September 2nd, 1961 in Detroit, Michigan to Priscilla (Bankhead) Bane and Thomas Hammon. Eileen was committed to her partner, of over 20 years, Tyrone Reese. They met in Inkster Michigan and later relocated to Flint Michigan.

Eileen was a remarkable woman and was well-loved by those who took the time to get to know her. Although she struggled with Dyslexia, she worked hard and obtained her high school diploma. Eileen was a free spirit, who loved music and "old dusty" Western movies! She also loved to cook, entertain, and CELEBRATE any and every occasion! She and Tyrone had a wide range of decorations for every holiday!

Eileen, aka, "Ei-cha" did her best to show love to every person and creature that crossed her path. She would do her best to keep up with everyone's phone numbers and was consistent at calling loved ones at least once a week to check-in, chit chat, and see that everyone was doing well. If there were issues going on in the family, she would try to keep everyone up to date in those things as well. She loved animals; she would save food scraps for the birds and her dogs! She had many dogs throughout the years; the most notable was Spice, a big, black and brown rottweiler. Spice would strike fear in the hearts of grown men, but Spice knew not to disobey when Eileen was around!

Eileen was known to be feisty! If looks could kill, some of her old flames would definitely be 6 feet under! She was known for always having a good "hood proverb" like: "What's good for the goose, is good for the gaggle"! She was a very slender, petite woman, but she was not afraid to go toe to toe with anyone who would try to bother her family or her home. For the most part she was a laid-back kind of lady who took care of her home, and loved ones as best she could; she was also a lady who loved to sparkle! On any given day you could see her sporting multiple earrings, bracelets, rings, and necklaces!

Her memory will forever sparkle in our hearts and minds.

Eileen was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Hammon; her Sister, Lethia Moulton; her brother, Joseph Kevin Bankhead; and her sons, Deon Bankhead and Reginald Jamie Bankhead.

To cherish her memory, she leaves behind her partner, Tyrone Reese and their daughter Chellie Bankhead; her son, Keith Bankhead (Rosalyn); her daughter, Alethia Miller; her son, Demetris Bankhead (Shayla). Also, her mother, Priscilla (Bankhead) Bane; her siblings, Reginald Bankhead (Lizette), and Carolyn Sanders (Victor), and a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
