Darryl Lee Williams, 55, of Detroit, Michigan, passed away on April 27, 2026. Born on April 17, 1971, in Athens, Georgia, Darryl lived a life defined by quiet strength, genuine kindness, and a humble spirit that touched everyone who knew him.

Darryl attended Detroit public schools and graduated from Cody High School in 1989. That same year, he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served his country with honor as a veteran of the Gulf War during Operation Desert Storm. After his military service, Darryl built a long and dedicated career at Star Center, where he spent 27 years as a valued employee. His colleagues knew him as someone they could always count on, a man whose work ethic matched his character.

Those who loved Darryl knew him as kind, soft spoken, and genuinely humble. He never needed to be the loudest voice in the room to make the deepest impression. When he wasn’t working, you could often find him cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys, a loyalty he carried proudly his entire life.

Darryl was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Green. He leaves behind his father, Frank Ingram; his brothers, Derrick Ingram, Dexter Williams, and Christopher Williams; his longtime partner Rosalyn Stone; as well as a host of family and friends who will carry his memory forward with love. A funeral service will be held on May 9, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Trinity Chapel Funeral Home. Darryl may have walked through this world quietly, but the love he gave inspired us all.
